Helping Seniors Find Financial Solutions

In a recent survey, three major concerns for seniors were identified.

  •  outliving your assets and being forced to make major lifestyle changes.

  •  losing your independence and control of your life. (Most seniors recognize losing a driver’s license the most significant impact on their independence.)

  • the concern for their health and safety.

When Ray entered the reverse mortgage field, he decided to become thoroughly knowledgeable with the major issues being faced by seniors and how to fully understand their challenges and various lifestyles. For this reason, he became a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA). The CSA designation is earned by taking a comprehensive course on the health, financial and social issues of seniors, and then becoming certified by passing an exam. A Certified Senior Advisor follows a code of business ethics and must undergo additional training each year to remain in good standing as a CSA. Our senior population is rapidly growing due to the baby boom phenomenon that occurred after World War 2 and while we now have about 35 million people over 65 years old, that number will double to 70 million by the year 2030. Due to this significant shift in demographics, trained professionals like CSA’s will be increasingly needed to meet the needs of this growing senior population.
